We didn’t feel like cooking tonight – the kitchen table was covered in hardware and it all just seemed too hard. Having picked up a paying gig has meant that we feel like we’re flush with funds, even if I haven’t actually gotten any of that magic money yet!
So we decided to have Indian cuisine for dinner. Several of the local Indian Restaurants are great, but our favourite is the Indian Appetite down in Arana Hills. We’ve been hanging out for naan breads and roti for dinner for ages so this went down a treat.
Some vegetarian things, nothing particularly spicy – contrary to popular beleif it is quite easy to order non spicy Indian. We ordered:
* 2 Garlic Naans
* 2 Kashmiri Chicken Naans (Naan bread stuffed with chicken tika and dried fruits)
* 2 Peshawari Naans (Naan bread stuffed with nuts and dried fruits)
* 2 Aloo Paratha (Roti stuffed with spicy potatoes and coriander)
* 2 Cheese and Spinach Naans
* and a pack of 5 Tandoori Wings. I do love chicken cooked in a tandoor – mmmmm…
Altogether it was very worth having. We bought far too much, of course, so we know what we are having for lunch tomorrow
Should have ‘donated’ the wings to Tertius as that is all he really ate
We gave him some yoghurt and cooked him some bacon to fill it out.
