There have been lots of rumours about mobile phone viruses. For instance CNN reported last week that there was a virus in the wild spreading via messages that contain photos or sounds, Eweek reported last month about a virus called Cabir from the Philippines which is draining batteries and Internet News reported recently about a virus using Bluetooth called CommWarrior.
This is all very worrying, but is it real? It very easy for Urban Myths to spread (a form of virus themself!) and it seems that these stories are just myths. Symantec reports that they are myths, and that we don’t need to worry about them.
