“Possum Magic” by Mem Fox is a great children’s book
Dave got the boy “Possum Magic” as one of his birthday presents. (For the record, the boy got *far* too many presents, and has declared that he wants “another castle”. I do hope we aren’t overdoing it with him!) It has instantly become our read-every-night-at-bedtime story. I do like it, and its very cute, and, most appealingly, its a fast read!
If you are looking for a children’s book I do recommend it. Hmm, a little bit of googling shows that others agree with me. Its won a swath of awards, like the NSW Premierís Award-winner and Winner of the 1986 IBBY Diploma for Illustration, and most tellingly, apparently its the best selling Australian children’s picture book ever, and it deserves such accolades - great little story.
