2005 Studebaker National Car Meet - Adelaide to Porttown
On Tuesday we woke up, and were quickly all packed and ready to leave.
We dropped in at Brenton and Meredith’s and helped out with their PC a bit and had a nice chat and a cuppa and then were eventually on our way.
We had lunch at Tailem Bend after zooming up the freeway and crossed the border around 2PM.
Driving through Western Victoris we discovered that there were whole areas of vineyards that we had never tried, but we were good and didn’t stop. Two reasons 1) we really needed to get home at some point and 2) we had already blown our winery budget.
It was dark by the time we reached Porttown and we figured we didn’t need to drive in the dark so we found a motel, spent too much money on a very nice dinner and - once again - passe out. We caught up on so much sleep on this trip!
The water at Porttown tastes funny, almost like they have put sugar in it.
